Welcome to the Hotel Saronis, the 'Saronis' was the first hotel in Galatas founded in 1960.

Situated on the water front in the heart of Galatas it is the ideal place to stay away from the tourist area of Poros Island. Only a 3 minute water taxi ride from the Island, here in Galatas you can eat and drink with the locals.

Adjoined to the Saronis is the 'Cafe Alkioni' here you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or a snack any time of the day.

Car rentals can be organised from €30 per day including unlimited milleage and collision waver.

Galatas can be reached from Athens (Pireaus) by either the car ferry, or the fast flying dolphins (1 hour). Both stop at Poros Island and then simply take a water taxis over to Galatas or by car take the car ferry across.

Close by is the ancient city of Trizinia (once the second largest city in Greece) now a quiet hillside town , explore the extinct volcanoe of Methana with its theraputic Sulpher baths. A little further away is the amphitheater of Epidavros and the large town of Argos and the port of Nafplio.
